So I finally got around to making my own Almond Milk the other day, it was so easy and more cost effective than purchasing pre-packaged ones from the supermarket, not to mention also much better for your health as it doesn't contain nasty additives, YUK :(
Ingredients
- 1 cup organic or pesticide free almonds
- 4 cups filtered water
- 1-2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Soak the almonds in water overnight
- The next day blend the almonds, water and vanilla extract in a blender
- Using a large bowel, stain the almond pulp using a cheese cloth
- Pour the liquid into a jug with lid, refrigerate or drink staight away
